Soldier's Angels
I mentioned the incident at Ft. Hood earlier today and I wanted to offer a suggestion for those that might like to volunteer. Our military personnel need support desperately! I've been a part of this group since 2003 when I retired. I just cannot tell you how much it means to me to be able to do a small part, at least in my mind, to support those in harm's way. You can contribute in sooooo many ways ~ write letters, send cards, send CARE packages, bake monthly, sew, you name it! There are many awaiting an angel to adopt them and they are absolutely thrilled to receive a simple card or letter in the mail. They are often in an area where basic hygiene items are not available, much less socks, sheets, blankets, movies & junk food. They LOVE receiving packages from home and each person that I've supported always shares with their buddies. The holidays are coming and it's a great time to let them know how much they are appreciated. If you are so inclined, the web site address is on my side bar. I promise you'll never look back!
